In Gov. Jon Huntsman's State of the State, he once again urged Utah to become a national leader in developing renewable energy and fighting global warming:
"Just as Wall Street is known for finance and Silicone Valley for technology, by 2012, I believe Utah can become the premier destination in America for renewable energy.
If we are going to take air quality seriously, which we must for the sake of the next generation, we must be bold; we must be visionary. Our aspirations should be nothing short of extraordinary."
More interesting than all the "next generation" stuff is how the hell the most popular governor in the most conservative state in the nation can get away with talking up global warming incessantly.
Is there something about greenhouse gas concentrations in the Book of Mormon we missed?
This is like the Governor of Vermont spending 20 minutes in his biggest speech of the year promoting creationism.
