Sanford: Vacation about putting "genie back in the bottle"

Maybe a bad choice of words. Comes at 3:45 in.

Mark Sanford talks to a reporter before boarding a flight to London (he wouldn't say where the family's ultimate destination was).

"I've been trying to do the best I can on all fronts. This time carved out for Jenny and the boys is awfully important in a family situation to put the genie back in the bottle."

I'm sorry, but are people thinking that that was a euphemism for "putting his penis back in his pants?"

It's only a poor choice of words because in our Puritan society we seem to want to interpret most anything as some sort of sexual innuendo - and in this case, the situation was sex related, so our minds were already most of the way there.

I believe Jeff Foxworthy said it best when he talked about the phrase "rotating tires" as a sexual reference.

If you can quote from Jeff Foxworthy...you may be a redneck.
