Mitt Romney's inked a book deal, and it doesn't sound like a tell-all memoir of a fading star*.
The New York Times:
Mitt Romney, the former governor of Massachusetts and the once and possibly future contender for the Republican presidential nomination, has signed a deal with St. Martin’s Press to publish his book next March.
Titled “No Apology: The Case for American Greatness,” the book outlines what appears to be a campaign platform — Mr. Romney’s views on how to create a stronger economy, military and families, and his vision on jobs, education, healthcare, energy and citizenship.
None of the other 2012 contenders have been as open about their desire to run.
Back in July 1, Romney set the gold standard for 2012 frankness during an interview with Carl Cameron of Fox.
The segment's salient portion.
CAMERON [voice-over]: He's quietly maintained a national organization, and despite spending $40 million in his last campaign, has not ruled out using his personal wealth next time.
ROMNEY: "I don't think you ever look forward to spending your own money in a campaign, so I would never imagine wanting to have to do that, but as to whether or not I would do it again, that's in the future."
CAMERON: [voice-over] He's by far the most candid about his desire to run again.
ROMNEY: "I've always got fire. Whether people are heated by it or not, that's another matter".
That's far more specific than we've heard from the other front-runners, who seem to think the idea of running is a punchline, and the year 2012, generations away.
*Btw, one of the most entertaining, but ultimately, saddest tell-all memoirs is this one.

Mitt better time that book just right because if it is anywhere near coming out when Gov. Palin book is out nobody will even know that Mitt had a book out.
I wonder how much of his own money he had to fork out for the book deal.
YOu need to give it up on Mitt ever becoming POTUS. He fits right in with the good old boy network. HeHeHe
oh boy it's Captain Phonycon

Ha ha, Romney is trying to stunt the effect Sarah will have when her book publishes. Good luck with that.
