Nevada Sen. John Ensign tells Politico he'll be a wingman in the race against Harry Reid.
"I will campaign for whoever the nominee is.... I said - if they want me. If I can be a help, I'll be a help."
Last month, one of Reid's potential opponents, Danny Tarkanian, seemed unfazed by and even solicitous of Ensign's potential support.
“I’m not going to shy away from him. Senator Ensign is our senior Republican senator here. I don’t see how he’s not going to be part of a Republican trying to unseat the Democrat in the state he represents. I would welcome his support.”
UPDATE: As another aside, Sarah Palin's older brother and Dad both campaigned for Tarkanian earlier this month.
