It started yesterday when Dick Cheney endorsed Kay Bailey Hutchison, and Rick Perry's spokesman replied by calling them the "Washington establishment".
Then, in a radio interview this morning, Rick Perry said he'd rather have Sarah Palin's support than Cheney's.
The latest salvo came in a news conference today.

I asked him was he suggesting that Cheney was not acceptable to Republican Primary voters.
"I don't have any comment on it," he said. "You gonna have to ask Texas voters about it."
.... "If you want to bump endorsements we can do that," he said. "If it was the World Series, they would have called it in the seventh inning."
