Two new polls have McDonnell up big

Virginia Commonwealth University is out with a new poll (pdf), showing Bob McDonnell leading Democrat Creigh Deeds, 51%-33%.

Key take-aways: McDonnell's at +27% among indies and McDonnell's favored on economic development (+24%), budget issues (+21%), transportation (+16%), and even education (+10%). Deeds has a slight lead (+3% on the environment.

Rasmussen also releases a new poll, showing McDonnell with a 54%-41% lead.

Key take-aways: McDonnell's favored on taxes (+22%), gov't spending (+27%), an transportation (+20%), and 59% of voters say McDonnell's thesis won't affect how they vote.
