Rasmussen: Perry leads Hutchison by 11%

According to a new Rasmussen poll, Rick Perry leads Kay Bailey Hutchison in their primary battle 46%-35%.

The poll's ideological breakdown confirms how difficult it will be for Hutchison to beat Perry in the primary. Conservatives back Perry by +22%, and could carry the two term gov. to a relatively easy third term, if they dominate a low turn-out primary.

Also, the results mirror a November 3 poll, in which Perry led by 12%, but that poll was fraught with problems, according to observers, so Rasmussen's results are good news for the Perry people.
