It's one thing to question the Commander-in-Chief's military strategy; it's another to suggest the President doesn't care, and it's still another to claim he uses the deaths of U.S. soldiers as photo-ops.
It's actually quite possible to assault Obama the Liberal without assaulting Obama the American.
Will NY-23 be a win for conservatism, or a win for Rush?
Fox News Sunday:
RUSH: I also don't think he [Obama] cares much about it [Afghanistan].
CHRIS WALLACE: Oh, come on...
RUSH: [interrupting] See, I know this is going to sound controversial, but I don't think he cares about it.... he wants to manage this, rather than achieve victory.
[Later]
WALLACE: But you say that you don't know if he really cares. Would you at least give him credit for going to Dover, Delaware to honor the remains of dead soldiers who came back from Afghanistan.
RUSH: Now see, the politically-correct thing to say here would be "Oh yes, I am very impressed that President Obama decided to go show his concern for the remains troops have given their lives for freedom in this country."
It was a photo-op. It was a photo-op precisely because he's having big-time trouble on this whole dithering situation.... and of course, when you have a sycophantic media following you around, able to promote and amplify whatever you want, then he can create the impression he has all this great concern.
