Gingrich attends Mass in DC

American Papist has more details on the impeding conversion:

Mr. Gingrich has regularly been seen attending Mass with his wife at the National Shrine here in Washington DC (including once by yours truly). He'll be entering the Church on Sunday, March 29th in DC.

Another interesting tidbit: Newt and his wife Callista are in the process of completing a documentary about Pope John Paul II’s pilgrimage to Poland in 1979 entitled "Nine Days That Changed The World":

Here's a question from a person who knows little about Catholicism. If you're attending mass without having converted and then you die, are you subject to all the rights and privileges of your informal Catholic devotion in the hereafter? Is your purgatory any worse?
