Pawlenty winds down campaign committee

Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty writes a farewell email to supporters today, sticking a fork in the Pawlenty for Governor Committee.

Dear Friends:

As I wind down my campaign committee, I wanted to send one last e-mail to thank you for all your past support. Mary and I are deeply grateful to you for it.

Serving as Governor of the State of Minnesota has been one of the great honors of my life. I'm proud of the accomplishments we've made, from holding the line on taxes and reducing the size of state government to reforming education and health care.

But the journey is far from over. With the 18 months that remain in my term, I will continue to work hard on our shared values of government accountability, transparency and fiscal responsibility.
