Case closed: Huntsman's opponent in gay rights goes down

More on that recipe for internecine war.

Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman:

"We have the ability to enhance equal rights toward others [gays], and we haven't done enough of that."

Republican state Senator Chris Buttars in a local television report:

"What is the morals of a gay person? You can't answer that because anything goes. Homosexuality will always be a sexual perversion. And you say that around here now and everybody goes nuts. But I don't care. They're [gays] are probably the greatest threat to America going down I know of. Gay marriage is the beginning of the end."

It's notable to point out that Buttars was stripped of his committee chair position for the comments.

This might be one battle that's concluded after its first shot -- you know, like World War 3.
