There will officially -- finally and conclusively -- be no Romney Car Czar

It appears as though the car czar position has gone Nicholas II on us, which means Romney's inclusion in the Obama Administration (which he'd never take, anyway) is quickly fading:

The Obama administration is garaging the idea of a single “car czar” to oversee the restructuring of the auto industry, starting with turnaround plans due tomorrow from GM and Chrysler. Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner will be in charge. Restructuring expert Ron Bloom, a former investment banker who been advising the United Steelworkers, will join a new Presidential Task Force on Autos that will be drawn from across the executive branch.
