Throngs: Mike Huckabee's taping in Elkhart turns them out

We talked about the Olympian-sized crowds Sarah Palin's on-track to draw at pro-life banquet in April; now Mike Huckabee's proving he can deliver a head or two.

Jeff Parrott on the former Governor's visit to Elkhart, Indiana:

Several hundred people arrived today at the Elkhart RV/MH Hall of Fame to see former Arkansas governor and Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee tape an episode of his news program "Huckabee."

Cars started lining up to enter the Hall of Fame’s parking lot at about 11:30 a.m. About 400 seats are available for those who requested them in advance, while other spectators will have to stand to watch the show, which is to air at 8 p.m.. today on the Fox News channel.

Ronald Barger, spokesman for the Economic Development Corp. of Elkhart County, said the public interest is beyond what he expected.

You can intellectually marginalize Sarah Palin and Mike Huckabee all you want, but the truth is that both have the capacity every successful politician employs -- namely, to tax the capacity of venues by merely showing up.

Can we call them the Jonas Brothers of politics? After all, the following vid has over 60,000,000 views.
