Newt: "We are living at the edge of catastrophe"

At the Heritage Foundation today, Newt Gingrich delivered what he had called last week a "major national security" speech.

"We are living at the edge of catastrophe.... I find it very disturbing that (seven years after the Sept. 11 attacks) nobody is demanding a fundamental altering of the war strategy."

Writing for Fox News, Lee Ross described the speech as "dour", "full of dire scenarios", and "gloomy predictions".

Kind of like your Mom when you first went mountain climbing.
