248-93 (gulp)

That Presidential electoral tally is what Ron Brownstein is calling "The Big Blue Wall", and it's composed of the aggregate EV count of 18 states which have consistently voted Democratic through the past 5 election cycles.

Republicans get just 13 states, totaling 93 electoral votes.

Brownstein's piece is subscriber-only, but you can get a brief summary from Marc Ambinder. While there, check out an awfully blue-looking map, composed of geographic political data from Catalist.
