Jindal and Landrieu agree on Louisiana's priorities

Gov. Bobby Jindal's agenda gets the OK from Democratic Senator Mary Landrieu. Of note is how much power Landrieu suddenly has in Louisiana politics.

In the House, 4 of the state's 7 members are first-term Republicans. And first-term Republicans are about as influential on Capitol Hill as the dead body of James Buchanan. That leaves a junior Republican Senator with a (former) thing for prostitutes as the GOP's lone remaining representative in Washington.

Baby-faced Landrieu is now Louisiana's matriarch in Washington.
