DeMint: Reid "runs the Senate like a kindergarten"

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is planning a rare Sunday vote to push a wilderness protection bill through the Senate, one some Republicans object to, due to its pork-laden posterior.

South Carolina Senator Jim DeMint:

"[Reid] runs the Senate like a kindergarten. If we don't follow his instructions, he keeps the whole class after school."

And according to Senator Tom Coburn, there's a lot of pork in that bill the kindergarten teacher is trying to pass, including...

a) $460 million water project to save 500 salmon in California

b) $3.5 million to help celebrate St. Augustine, Florida's 450th birthday

c) $3 million "road to nowhere" in Alaska

The truly vast wilderness is actually the bill. Click here to be flooded with S.22, the Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009.
