Lonely man: Crist gets slammed by own party

Earlier today, we reported on a GOP uprising in Florida's statehouse over Gov. Charlie Crist's budget. Florida Republicans want more cuts, while Crist wants more borrowing (for their part, the Dems want more revenue -- read "taxes").

Now Anitere Flores (R-Miami) has come up with a nice word-picture to illuminate:

“Comparing our budget to the governor’s budget is a little bit like comparing apples and shoes. The reason I don’t say apples and oranges is because apples and oranges are both fruits so they’re both kind of similar, actually …. The governor is just working with a different set of reality than we are.”

As William Wallace said while being executed: "Ouch." (or was it "Freedom"? Oh well, Braveheart wasn't accurate anyway)
