Thune sides with Obama on alternative energy

Associated Press:

Democratic President-elect Obama says he wants to double the production of alternative energy in three years.

And that's a goal that Republican John Thune calls "very realistic".

Thune says he hopes Congress will work with the incoming Obama administration to put the necessary incentives in place to achieve the goal.

As an unsurprising FYI, Thune's home state, South Dakota, receives a glowing review from the U.S. Department of Energy's analysis for alternative energy production, and Firstline says South Dakota is one of six states referred to as "the Saudi Arabia of wind energy".
