Last month, Toyota announced they were shelving plans to build its Prius plant in Blue Springs, Missississippi, "due to the steep decline in the market".
Today, Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour announced Toyota will honor financial commitments made to the state in the form of $5 million/year for 10 years through the CREATE Foundation for local education and by paying debt-service costs for state and local borrowers in Mississippi.
